Although he is supposed to be a resident of the virtual world, an NPC, the boy displays the same range of emotions as any human being. As Kirito befriends Eugeo, he continues to search for a way to disconnect from this world. That's when a buried memory comes back to him. He remembers running into the mountains with Eugeo when he was a child. In this memory, which shouldn't even exist, he also remembers a young blonde girl... Alice.
