Book - Le Quatuor Zalozhniy
"The Cold War is long over. Bush's is over.
You were a soldier, a shadow agent, trained to move in this secret world: deadly and unsuspected.
Then you quit, got fired, or burned out. But you haven't changed careers. You have found your own marks in the underground, the European networks of power and crime. You performed a few operations without asking too many questions. Who gave you a job in Prague? Who paid dearly for your silence on an account in Switzerland? You thought it was unimportant. In fact, it had a lot.
Because without knowing it, you were working for vampires.
Vampires do exist. What can they do? What do they own? Where are we safe? You do not know. So you better start asking the right questions, trace the operations of these bloodsuckers, infiltrate their networks, follow in their footsteps and target their weak points. Because if you don't chase them, they will. And they will kill you. Or even worse.
Night's Black Agents trains the Gumshoe/Detective mechanism in the thriller/spy genre, combining the compulsive paranoia of films such as Ronin or the Bourne Trilogy with the supernatural horror straight from the writings of Bram Stocker and all the vampires since imagined in novels as in the cinema.
The investigation is crucial but doesn't slow down the action, which is full of options for bloody combat, high-tech gear and heart-pounding chases.
Dusting off the too classic gothic terrors to fit into our time, Night's Black Agents offers a wealth of possibilities. Leaders can create their own vampires, their minions, mold their own conspiracies to suit their plotting and action cravings. Optional rules let you set the level of betrayal, realism, and action in your games. Play using the examples provided or mix and match vampiric abilities, plots and perks for a bloody spy saga all your own.
The included adventure starts the campaign with the starting city of Marseille.
Stuff your Glock with silver bullets, consider replacing the bulb in your Maglite, and don't forget to check the mirrors. You just have to hope that what you think you know about vampires is the truth."
