Static Figure - Xtra - One...
"Look, I'm a hitman, a bodyguard and the most powerful ninja there is: Sonic the Thunderer! But I'm not interested in my mercenary job anymore, from now on you're my sworn enemy and I have only one goal: to kill you!" Sonic in Saitama. This XTRA By Tsume figure of Sonic the Thunderer is a rendition of his first encounter with Saitama, when they were both in the woods looking for Anvilhead. He is seen here holding up his ninjato, ready to perform a Lightning Cut, wearing his black ninja suit reinforced with a few pieces of armour. His dark hair is tied up in a bun and the few crazy locks falling on his face let us see his icy blue eyes, underlined by purple tattoos. We can then see that Sonic gives a determined, even murderous look to his enemy, like a predator watching his prey before pouncing on it to inflict the fatal blow. You can also see on his face that he is wearing a sadistic, even satanic smile: killing is his livelihood, and better still, his little sick pleasure! Under the effect of his supersonic speed and shockwaves, dust rises from the ground and spins in the air, while his purple scarf is thrown back violently, just like during his 4 Deadly Shadows attack. The grass on the base is also a reminder of where the two characters unexpectedly met while buried in the woods. Although Sonic is extremely proud of his formidable ninja techniques and his lightning speed, he will also quickly realise that he should not have tested them on this stranger whom he resembles as a bald man! While trying to inflict a Stinging Kick on him, he finds himself accidentally hit in his manhood, although it is his ego that suffers the most! He then discovers that Saitama is a worthy, if slightly nonchalant, opponent and ranks him as enemy number one on his hit list. With one punch, One Punch Man has robbed him of his pride, so to get revenge, he must take his life at all costs! This became the ultimate goal of the ultimate ninja... Did you know that? The character of Sonic the Thunderer refers to several other mangas! First of all, he shares several points in common with Sasuke Uchiwa in the Naruto manga: they are both ninjas, both obsessed by revenge and in rivalry with the main hero. Moreover, we can notice that the marks under Sonic's cheekbones are similar to those of the American football players in another manga by Yusuke Murata, EyeShield 21.
